Top Rated Robot Vac vacuums robot

A robot vacuum can keep your floors tidy enough to decrease the frequency of manual hoovering. Find one that has good navigation, can clean corners and stairs and also has a large dust bin that needs emptying only every few times.

There are models that mop and charge themselves, which is a feature important for families with pets or children. A lot of the top performers in our tests offer decent obstacle-avoiding capabilities.

1. iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO

The i3+ EVO and its sibling, the i3 EVO, are identical robots that differ only in that the i3+ comes with self-emptying features. The i3+ is an excellent alternative for those who want a an entirely automated cleaning, hands-free cleaning experience, but want to manually empty the dust bin after it has filled up.

Both robots do well cleaning up surface debris from carpets and hard floors, and they are very good at maneuvering around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software makes smart maps of your home that help the i3+ EVO navigate and clean in a way that maximizes efficiency. The i3+ isn't able to feature obstacle avoidance features like the i7+ or other top-rated robots we have test. It can get stuck on power cords and socks and have difficulty navigating between different surfaces, like hardwood and rug.

iRobot suggests that you clean the area in which the i3+ EVO vacuums before using it. This includes getting rid of any toys or other items it may encounter. It's also a good idea to keep the bin and filter clean so that they do not become blocked by dirt. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is filled or the battery is depleted it will return to its docking station, automatically emptying its trash into the station's external dustbin and then resumes cleaning where it began. The i3+ EVO's batteries last for about an hour and a half continuous use, and takes about three hours to fully recharge.

2. iRobot Roomba i7+

The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the most powerful model of the flagship line from iRobot, and it is equipped with the most recent features. It's self-charging and best self cleaning robot vacuum-navigating. But the most important feature is the self-emptying bin. This removes the need for regular maintenance.

The Roomba I7+ is able to better map rooms with Imprint Smart Mapping. It also integrates with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning tasks and control your robot with voice or via the app.

The i7+ is more efficient and more agile in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also removed large pet hair pieces from all surfaces including carpeting. Its biggest advantage over the eufy, though the dust bin is self-emptying that eliminates a major source of maintenance and reduces the amount of time spent cleaning.

We were also awestruck by the i7+'s integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services that we used to instruct the robot cleaner amazon to start, stop or pause its cleaning session and move around the room, and even vacuum an area. The process of connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and easy with the iRobot Home app. We were able, once connected, to speak commands to the i7+, for example "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options for managing the i7+'s settings and monitoring its performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

In a world filled with cordless vacs that look like minivans or buses, this tiny Dyson model feels like a sports car. It's powerful and has features to replace a stand-up vacuum for the majority of households, but it also fits nicely on a coffee table or on the bookshelf, where you can wave it around like a magic wand.

The V10 is powered with seven cells of energy-dense Lithium-ion batteries that produces power that is not fading for 60 minutes. The sophisticated whole-machine filter system is able to trap allergens and then lets cleaner air into your home. Its specialized cleaning head drives bristles made of nylon that are stiff into carpets to trap large dust and crumbs. It comes with three suction modes that can be adapted to the specific task. It quickly switches from floor vac to handheld vacuum, and then back to floor.

The model also comes with a dock that charges to 100% in about 3.5 hours, and gives users easy access to two attachments as well as the wand clip. This is a huge improvement over earlier Dysons that require a long charge and are difficult to store.

The main drawback of the V10 is its short running time. As CR's tests have shown, its marketing claims of up to 60 minutes are misleading. This is a common, not exceptional, battery-powered cordless vacuum's run time. This is enough time to vacuum the average-sized home however, it's not enough time to reach every area. (A second run usually works). This model has its own advantages however: it's lighter and more maneuverable than older Dysons cordless models and its ability to vacuum is significantly better on low-pile floor carpet.

4. iRobot Roomba 694"

The 694 is a basic robot vacuum that's an excellent choice for those who don't have a lot of money to spend on a robot. It was able to pick up most types of debris and sizes during our testing and often went over the same area multiple times to ensure an extensive clean. The flat front of the unit allows it to reach into corners and along the walls' edges which is a nice feature.

Its smart navigation system uses iAdapt technology to avoid obstacles and guide you through your home. However, it isn't equipped with the ability to map that is found in more advanced models, including our top picks, i3+EVO and the j7+ Series. Because of this, it is sometimes stuck on things like phone cords or furniture that isn't in good condition, and often is power-depleted before returning to its original location.

The Xiaomi Mi robot is superior in many ways to the Roomba 694 in that it has fewer components that require regular cleaning, is equipped with an allergen-trapping HEPA filtration system, incurs lower recurring cost and is more sophisticated in its automation capabilities and is able to better move its own. It also has a bigger dustbin and charges faster.

The sleek RoboVac X8 has a superior battery life than the Roomba 694. It also comes with physical boundaries and can be controlled with the voice assistant on your smartphone. It is also more robust, has a more powerful motor, and performs better on low-pile and bare floors.

5. Samsung Jet Bot AI+

Samsung is a name that is found on all kinds of electronic gadgets for your home It's no surprise that they're also one of the top robotic vacuum and mop makers. Jet Bot AI+ has a cutting-edge onboard technology to navigate and avoid obstacles.

The app offers a wide range of options to customize your robotic cleaner. This includes virtual barriers, mopping levels and behavior customizations docking frequency settings and many more. The app is easy to learn and use, just like other Samsung devices.

In our testing, the Jet Bot AI+ excelled on hard floors and handled dog hair (on carpet) quite well, cleaning up 86 percent of it. However, it did not do particularly well at avoiding higher-up objects like cords or socks which was a disappointment. It's also a bit more expensive than the other models we've tested which could be a deterrent for some buyers.

The smart vacuum comes with an onboard camera that is accessible via the app. You can also create a live stream from the robot's cleaning station. This feature allows you to monitor your pets or kids when you're away from home. The filter and the dustbin can be washed for an easy, quick clean-up. The Jet Bot AI+ also has a clean station that's self-emptying and helps keep the robot's dustbin clean and maximizes suction power for each cleaning run.

6. black friday robot vacuum deals & Decker Robot Vacuum

Unlike other robotic vacuums, that are specifically designed for hard floors and carpets, Black and Decker robots are specifically designed for hard floors. The robots have an extra-wide cleaning path, and a dustbin that is 2X larger than the competition. This lets them clean the area for longer. They also come with two side sweepers to clean around corners and edges. The POWERSERIES Extreme model also comes with AutoSense technology, which detects if it's picking up dirt or debris on the surface and automatically adjusts the power level. It also comes with a smart app that lets you view the virtual map, and control functions and schedules. You can also track the status of the vacuum and then send it to the dock for charging with the touch of a single button. The app allows you to customize the LED lights on top of the vacuum using different colors so you can clearly see which areas it's focused on or where it's stuck.

The app allows you to steer the robot manually when needed. For instance, my living room rug has a darkly-colored border that tends to make it difficult for other robots I've tried. The HRV 425BL however continued to travel across the border, without notifying the edge. The ability to program a daily cleaning schedule for each week is a time-saving convenience.
